Itinerary:

Day 1: St. Petersburg ~ St. Pete Pier ~ Fort Myers ~ The Broadway Palm Dinner Theater

Depart from 844 Duck Lake Road, Lady Lake, FL (you may leave your car here). Travel aboard a comfortable deluxe motorcoach as we travel south through the Sunshine State to Fort Myers. En route a stop will be made in St. Petersburg at St. Pete Pier for lunch, shopping and sightseeing.

Continue into southwest Florida to Fort Myers, known for its pristine beaches, secluded islands and distinctive neighborhoods.  Later today we arrive at our area hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Myers, for a delightful three-night stay.  This evening enjoy a delicious dinner(included) and captivating entertainment at The Broadway Palm Dinner Theater. Step back into the halls of Rydell High with Grease, the smash hit musical that defined a generation. As Danny and Sandy struggle to balance image and identity, their friends chase cars, crushes, and dreams of growing up. The high energy performance features memorable hits such as Summer Nights, Grease Lightnin, and We Go Together.

Day 2: Captiva Cruise to Cabbage Key ~ Punta Gorda ~ Fisherman’s Village

Breakfast is included at the hotel.  Journey to Captiva Island for an exciting cruise to Cabbage Key.  Be on the lookout for dolphins, manatees and various seabirds.  Believed to be the inspiration behind Jimmy Buffet’s song, “Cheeseburger in Paradise, Cabbage Key is a classic “old Florida” hide-a-way. The island has an Inn and Restaurant, built in 1938 by American playwright Mary Roberts Rinehart. The restaurant, which sits on top of a Calusa Indian shell mound, offers panoramic views of the island and Pine Island Sound.  Lunch is included at the restaurant.  Return to Captiva Island and transfer back to our hotel for leisure time. Later today we travel to Punta Gorda and enjoy free time at Fisherman’s Village, a quaint riverfront complex of casual restaurants and specialty shops. Return to Fort Myers for the night.  

Day 3: Sanibel Island ~ Bowman’s Beach ~ Sanibel Village ~ Sanibel Lighthouse

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.  Today we explore lovely Sanibel Island - world renowned for its abundance of pastel-colored seashells and pristine sand beaches. Stroll lovely Bowman’s Beach, popular with beachcombers searching for seashells.  After lunch break, visit Sanibel Historical Museum and Village. The village features seven historical, restored buildings offering visitors an immersive look into the early pioneer life of Sanibel Island from the late 1800s through the mid-twentieth century. Later this afternoon we will stop at Sanibel Lighthouse which offers picturesque views of San Carlos Bay and Fort Myers. Gather this evening for dinner at a local restaurant - included.

Day 4: Edison & Ford Winter Estates ~ Fort Myers Historical District ~ Journey Home

This morning after breakfast we visit the winter estates of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.  The Edison and Ford Winter Estates date from 1885, when Thomas Edison first visited Southwest Florida to build a vacation home.  The complex features a fascinating museum which showcases the innovative minds of two American icons. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in the historic district of Fort Myers.  Recognized as one of the most beautiful historic districts in Florida, Fort Myers is a town rich in history, architecture, art and amenities. Many historic 20th-century structures are now home to colorful shops, galleries, restaurants and other local businesses. Later today we depart for home.

No meet & greet. You will receive all information needed for this trip 7-10 days prior to trip departure.

Workman Transportation uses their own deluxe motor coaches. They are driven by drivers certified and licensed for motor coach transportation. Our motor coaches are air conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, video monitors, on-board restroom, and reclining seats.

Our hosts are experienced and will help make your trip enjoyable. They will give you lots of information along the way to make the traveling time fun and interesting. We will strive to keep you comfortable by having rest stops every two to two and 1/2 hours in the schedule.

All tours require some walking and the ability to embark/disembark a motor-coach without assistance. Advance notice is required for special dietary requests and handicap seating.
