ITINERARY:
Day 1: The Villages ~ Asheville, North Carolina:
Depart 761 Hoopfer Way, The Villages, FL. You may leave your car here.
Travel north aboard a luxury motorcoach and enjoy the views.
Rest and meal stops will be made periodically.
Later in the day we arrive in the lovely city of Asheville, North Carolina, located between the Blue Ridge and Smoky mountains. Known for its fresh air, cool climate and abundant sulfur springs, Asheville became a popular health resort in the 1850’s for America’s rich and famous. Enjoy comfortable lodging for two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn- Biltmore Area. Gather this evening for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant – included.
Day 2: Asheville Sights ~ Christmas at Biltmore ~ Candlelight Tour:
Breakfast at the hotel – included. This morning, we embark on a delightful city tour of Asheville, noted for its architectural treasures. Highlights include Pack Square - the city’s bustling center and the 1928 Art Deco octagonal shaped city hall building.
Later today we visit George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Estate where we have the opportunity to visit America’s largest home decorated with dozens of Christmas trees, hundreds of wreaths, bows, and poinsettias, miles of evergreen garland, and thousands of ornaments. Built in the late 1800’s, the mansion was home for George Washington Vanderbilt, grandson of railroad magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt. Displayed throughout the 250-room French Renaissance-style chateau are prints from Vanderbilt’s vast art collection, Vanderbilt family china and crystal, and 15th-century Flemish tapestries. Our Christmas at Biltmore also provides access to the Biltmore Gardens & Winery.
We will gather for a festive dinner at a local restaurant on the estate - included. This evening, we join the Candlelight Christmas Evening Tour of the Biltmore House. Experience Christmas at Biltmore as the family and friends of George Vanderbilt did when he introduced his new home on Christmas Eve 1895.
Day 3: Southern Highland Craft Guild Folk Art Center ~ Pigeon Forge ~ Hatfield & McCoy Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud:
Breakfast at the hotel – included. This morning we visit the Southern Highland Craft Guild Folk Art Center which offers traditional and modern southern Appalachian crafts. The center is also the site of the first craft shop in the country. Later today we journey through the Great Smoky Mountains to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a delightful two-night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge is known for its traditional Appalachian crafts, music and folklore. This evening we join Pa Hatfield and Ma McCoy as they try to set aside their differences in the spirit of the season. Watch as they bring their two famous feudin’ families together for a night of food and entertainment guaranteed to make you feel better about spending the holidays with your in-laws! Day 4: Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood ~ Country Tonite Christmas Show:
Breakfast at the hotel – included. Enjoy the day at Dollywood Park - The Entertainment Capital of the Smokies! Experience Christmas in the Smoky Mountains, named the best holiday festival in America for over a decade. Favorite Christmas traditions with award-winning shows, culinary delights, seasonal shopping - all wrapped in over 5 million lights. Explore unique one-of-a-kind attractions you’ll not find anywhere else. Dozens of Master Craftsmen - historic American traditions are demonstrated including glassblowing, blacksmithing, wagon making and more.
Later this evening we attend the evening Christmas performance at Country Tonite Theater. The magic of Christmas abounds as the talented renditions of Christmas favorites combined with beautiful choreography, brightly decorated holiday sets and colorful costumes bring the enchantment of Christmas to the Country Tonite stage.
Day 5: Pigeon Forge ~ Journey Home:
This morning following breakfast (included) we depart the Smokies and begin our journey home.

Workman Transportation uses their own deluxe motor coaches. They are driven by drivers certified and licensed for motor coach transportation. Our motor coaches are air conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, video monitors, on-board restroom, and reclining seats.
Our hosts are experienced and will help make your trip enjoyable. They will give you lots of information along the way to make the traveling time fun and interesting. We will strive to keep you comfortable by having rest stops every two to two and 1/2 hours in the schedule.
All tours require some walking and the ability to embark/disembark a motor-coach without assistance. Advance notice is required for special dietary requests and handicap seating.
