Day 1:The Villages ~ Chattanooga, Tennessee ~ Welcome Dinner:
Travel aboard a private deluxe highway coach to the Chattanooga, Tennessee area for the first night.Rest and meal stops will be made periodically.Gather for dinner at a local restaurant prior to arriving at the hotel. (Dinner included on this day)
Day 2:Abbey of Gethsemane ~ Maker’s Mark Distillery ~ Historic Bardstown:
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Kentucky.This afternoon we arrive in the town of New Haven for a visit to the first and most famous Cistercian monastery in the country, the Abbey of Gethsemani.The abbey received much of its fame from renowned spiritual writer and director, Fr. Thomas Merton, who lived here.Our visit will provide an opportunity to visit the beautiful monastery and tour the lovely grounds.The abbey is also famous for its cheese, bourbon-spiked fruitcake and fudge. Later today we travel Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail and visit Makers Mark Distillery.Embark on The Maker's Mark Tour that will explain the history and bourbon-making process.The tour will include the main campus and a few of the production buildings, concluding with guided tasting. Later this afternoon we travel to historic Bardstown for a delightful three-night stay. (Breakfast included this day)
Day 3: Bardstown Sights ~ My Old Kentucky Home ~ Museum of Bourbon History ~ Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience ~ My Old Kentucky Dinner Train: Following breakfast we explore historic Bardstown. Visit My Old Kentucky Home, the 200-year-old mansion and plantation of the Rowan family. Later this morning we visit Oscar Getz Museum of Bourbon History which displays a collection of rare artifacts and documents concerning the American whiskey industry dating from pre-Colonial days to post-Prohibition years. This afternoon enjoy a Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience at another of Kentucky’s premier distilleries. This evening, we board My Old Kentucky Dinner Train for a memorable dining experience. Enjoy a delicious meal as we journey through the scenic countryside of central Kentucky abord beautifully refurbished all steel-skirted rail cars built by the Budd Company in the late 1940’s. Overnight in Bardstown. (Breakfast, Dinner included this day)
Day 4: Jim Beam Tour ~ Belle of Louisville Cruise ~ Kentucky Derby Museum ~ Churchill Downs Enjoy Jim Beam Distillery Tour & Tasting. Later today, Board the Belle of Louisville Riverboats for a delightful picnic luncheon cruise on the Ohio River. This afternoon we visit Churchill Downs, the historic track where the Kentucky Derby is run. Enjoy time at the Kentucky Derby Museum which showcases the Kentucky Derby and the Thoroughbred industry. The museum features various racing artifacts and interactive exhibits along with a 360-degree high-definition film of “The Greatest Race.” Following a dinner stop we return to our hotel in Bardstown for the night. (Breakfast, Lunch included this day)
Day 5: Bardstown ~ Renfro Valley ~ Kentucky Music Hall of Fame ~ Southern Tennessee: Following breakfast we journey east to Renfro Valley and visit the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The museum is filled with a collection of artifacts and memorabilia highlighting the history of Kentucky’s rich music heritage. Enjoy a special group luncheon with live entertainment. Later today we journey to southern Tennessee for the final overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch included this day)
Day 6: Southern Tennessee ~ Journey Home:Following breakfast we board our coach and begin our final journey home.Rest and meal stops will be made periodically. (Breakfast included this day)

Workman Transportation uses their own deluxe motor coaches. They are driven by drivers certified and licensed for motor coach transportation. Our motor coaches are air conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, video monitors, on-board restroom, and reclining seats.
Our hosts are experienced and will help make your trip enjoyable. They will give you lots of information along the way to make the traveling time fun and interesting. We will strive to keep you comfortable by having rest stops every two to two and 1/2 hours in the schedule.
All tours require some walking and the ability to embark/disembark a motor-coach without assistance. Advance notice is required for special dietary requests and handicap seating.
