ITINERARY:

Day 1:  The Villages ~ Knoxville, Tennessee ~ Welcome Dinner:

Depart 761 Hoopfer Way (located off Rolling Acres Rd.)

Travel aboard a luxury motor coach to the Knoxville, Tennessee area for the first night. 

Rest and meal stops will be made periodically. 

Gather this evening for a welcome reception at our hotel, the Drury Inn Knoxville, featuring one hot entrée, hot dogs, nacho chips and dip, popcorn and beverages from 5-7:00PM.  Additional dinner options near the hotel include Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, Chipotle Mexican Grille and Abridged Beer Company. 

Day 2:  Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill ~ Trustees’ Table Luncheon ~ Covington, Kentucky:

Following breakfast at the hotel (included) we journey north into Kentucky for a visit at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill.  Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill is a unique destination that shares 3,000 acres of history and tradition in the spirit of the Kentucky Shakers. Home to the third largest Shaker settlement in the United States between 1805 and 1910, the vibrant site offers an opportunity to explore the beliefs and lifestyle of this religious community.

Gather for a special group luncheon at the Trustees’ Table - included. 

Later this afternoon we travel north to Covington for a delightful three-night stay at the Holiday Inn Cincinnati-Riverfront. In addition to the hotel restaurant there are several dining options within walking distance from the hotel (Skyline Chili, Riverfront Pizza & Sports Bar, White Castle & McDonalds). 

Day 3: The Ark Encounter ~ Ararat Ridge Zoo:  Enjoy breakfast at the hotel (included) and then travel to Williamstown, Kentucky and to the amazing Ark Encounter.  Following the design and dimensions given to Noah in the Old Testament, 100 skilled Amish carpenters labored over six years in building the largest timber structure in the world!  The history of the Bible vividly comes to life through exhibits about the Flood, Noah, and the animals.  Find out how Noah and his family might have cared for the animals while living on the ark. 

At the Ararat Ridge Zoo visit animals from around the world, such as kangaroos, lemurs, and sloths. This wonderful complex also features several dining options and a fabulous gift store. 

Enjoy the day exploring and enjoying this amazing attraction and then return to our hotel for the night.

Day 4: Creation Museum ~ St. Mary’s Cathedral-Basilica of the Assumption ~ Ohio River Cruise:  This morning after breakfast (included) we visit the Creation Museum.  This state-of-the-art facility presents the literal creation account as outlined in the book of Genesis.

Later today we visit the magnificent St. Mary’s Cathedral-Basilica of the Assumption which houses the largest religious stained-glass window in the world! This afternoon we embark on a delightful sightseeing cruise on the Ohio River which provides beautiful views of downtown Cincinnati and historic Covington.

Enjoy free time for shopping and sightseeing along the riverfront area of Newport.  Highlights include Newport on the Levee, Purple People Pedestrian Bridge along with a selection of shops and attractions.  Gather for dinner at a local restaurant (included) in Newport and then return to our hotel for the night.

Day 5:  Kentucky Horse Park ~ Breeds Barn ~ Museum of the Horse ~ Knoxville, Tennessee:  Following breakfast at the hotel (included) we visit beautiful Kentucky Horse Park, a wonderful facility devoted to the state’s equine heritage.  Highlights include the Breeds Barn which features 24 different breeds of horses and the International Museum of the Horse which depicts the history of the horse. 

Later today we depart Lexington and travel back to the Knoxville area for the final overnight. Gather for dinner at a local restaurant (included) prior to arriving at the hotel, the Comfort Inn & Suites Lenior City.

Day 6:  Knoxville ~ Journey Home:  Following breakfast we board our coach and begin our final journey home.  Rest and meal stops will be made periodically.

A $500 deposit (per person) is required upon booking. Final payment is due by August 1, 2024. Deposit is refundable until August 1, 2024.- less a 10% restocking fee. Entire cost is non-refundable after final payment is made.

MEET & GREET: TBA at Wildwood Community Center _______________________________________________

Workman Transportation uses their own deluxe motor coaches. They are driven by drivers certified and licensed for motor coach transportation. Our motor coaches are air conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, video monitors, on-board restroom, and reclining seats.

Our hosts are experienced and will help make your trip enjoyable. They will give you lots of information along the way to make the traveling time fun and interesting. We will strive to keep you comfortable by having rest stops every two to two and 1/2 hours in the schedule.

All tours require some walking and the ability to embark/disembark a motor-coach without assistance. Advance notice is required for special dietary requests and handicap seating.
