Day 1: The Villages ~ Asheville, North Carolina:

Depart from 761 Hoopfer Way- located off Rolling Acres Rd. You may leave your car here.

Travel aboard a Workman deluxe highway coach to Asheville. En route rest and meal stops will be made periodically. Later today we arrive in the lovely city of Asheville, North Carolina, located between the Blue Ridge and Smoky mountains. Known for its fresh air, cool climate and abundant sulfur springs, Asheville became a popular health resort in the 1850’s for America’s rich and famous. Enjoy comfortable lodging for two nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Asheville. Gather this evening for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Ashville City Tour ~ Biltmore Mansion & Gardens ~ Biltmore Village & Winery: This morning after breakfast (included) embark on a delightful city tour of Asheville, noted for its architectural treasures. Highlights include Pack Square - the city’s bustling center and the 1928 Art Deco octagonal shaped city hall building and the beautiful 1909 Basilica of St. Lawrence. Today we visit the Biltmore Estate which features America’s largest home. Built in the late 1800’s, the mansion was home for George Washington Vanderbilt, grandson of railroad magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt. Following free time for lunch at Biltmore Village enjoy ample time to explore the four floors of the magnificent Biltmore House, 75 acres of beautiful formal gardens and conservatory. Displayed throughout the 250-room French Renaissance-style chateau are prints from Vanderbilt’s vast art collection, Vanderbilt family china and crystal, and 15th-century Flemish tapestries. Gather for dinner at a local restaurant in the Asheville area – included.

Day 3: Southern Highlands Craft Guild Folk Art Center ~ Pigeon Forge ~ Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show:  Breakfast at the hotel -included. This morning, we visit the Southern Highland Craft Guild Folk Art Center which offers traditional and modern southern Appalachian crafts.  The center is also the site of the first craft shop in the country. 

Later today we journey through the Great Smoky Mountains to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a delightful two-night stay at the LeConte Hotel & Convention Center.  Located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge is known for its traditional Appalachian crafts, music and folklore.  This evening attend Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show.  Enjoy friendly North and South competition, thrilling horse-riding stunts, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions all while feasting on a delicious southern style dinner - included.

Day 4: Dollywood Park ~ Country Tonite Theater:

Breakfast at the hotel (included). After a stop at the Old General Mill Store enjoy the day at Dollywood Park - The Entertainment Capital of the Smokies! From the sounds of contemporary country to the fabulous ‘50s, there’s musical entertainment for everyone. Explore unique one-of-a-kind attractions you’ll not find anywhere else. Dozens of Master Craftsmen - historic American traditions are demonstrated including glassblowing, blacksmithing, wagon-making and more.

This evening we enjoy reserved seating at Country Tonite Theater which features the Smokies, largest award-winning cast, who blend great country classics with the exciting new breed of contemporary country music.

Day 5: Pigeon Forge ~ Journey Home: This morning following breakfast (included) we depart the Smokies and begin our journey home. Rest and meal stops will be made periodically as we travel.

A $500 per person deposit is due at time of booking. Deposit is refundable until March 7, 2024* less a 10% restocking fee. Final payment is due Friday, March 7, 2024. After final payment is made, entire cost is non-refundable.

Workman Transportation uses their own deluxe motor coaches. They are driven by drivers certified and licensed for motor coach transportation. Our motor coaches are air conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, video monitors, on-board restroom, and reclining seats.

Our hosts are experienced and will help make your trip enjoyable. They will give you lots of information along the way to make the traveling time fun and interesting. We will strive to keep you comfortable by having rest stops every two to two and 1/2 hours in the schedule.

All tours require some walking and the ability to embark/disembark a motor-coach without assistance. Advance notice is required for special dietary requests and handicap seating.

Prices are per person. Rates and space are subject to availability. A minimum number of people is required for the trip to commence.
