Experience the Chihuly Collection, a stunning, permanent collection of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly’s unique artwork. This presentation is unique as it is the first installation of Chihuly art in a building designed specifically for that purpose. Designed so that the art and architecture work together to create a visitor experience unlike any other exhibition of Chihuly’s art. The Collection is marked at the entrance by an iconic 20-foot sculpture created especially for the site. We will tour the collection, and visit the Glass Studio and Hot Shop at the nearby Morean Arts Center. We will watch glassblowers create original pieces!

After our visit at Chihuly, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the St. Pete Pier. The pier is located on the city’s picturesque waterfront. It combines the peaceful blue waters of Tampa Bay with the vibrant greenery of downtown St. Petersburg’s parks, creating the ultimate place to stroll, dine, drink, and shop. (Restaurant suggestions will be given).

Itinerary:

9:00 am- Depart Lake Sumter Landing (1045 Old Mill Run)

9:20 am- Depart Brownwood - behind the Brownwood Hotel and The Center for Advanced Healthcare (click here for map)

12:00 pm- Docent led Chihuly Museum tour, Morean Arts Studio (self guided) and Glass Studio demonstration (We will be split into 2 groups)

2:00 pm- Spend time at the St. Pete Pier (free time- have lunch, sight-see, etc.)

4:30 pm- Board Bus for The Villages

6:45 pm - Approximate arrival in The Villages

Price includes transportation, museum admissions with hot shop demo, bus driver tip, and a bottle of water. Host gratuity is not included.
