J.C. Newman Cigar Company is the oldest family-owned premium cigar maker in America. For four generations and 128 years, J.C. Newman has been handcrafting many of the world’s finest cigars, headquartered in an iconic 113-year-old cigar factory in the Ybor City National Historic Landmark District in Tampa, Florida.

We will have a guided tour of the factory. This tour takes guests through the process of cigar making both by hand and on antique cigar machines, the Newman family legacy, the history of Cigar City, and much more. Three stories high, and one city-block long, this historic cigar factory will please cigar enthusiasts, history buffs, and those with interests in manufacturing and technology.

After our tour, you will have time on your own to enjoy lunch. Suggestions will given.

Itinerary:

9:00 am- Depart Lake Sumter Landing (1045 Old Mill Run)

9:20 am- Depart Brownwood- behind the Brownwood Hotel and The Center for Advanced Healthcare (click here for map)

11:30 am- Cigar Factory Tour (1 hour & 15 mins)

1:30 pm - Lunch (purchase on your own)

4:45 pm- Approximate arrival time back in The Villages

Price includes transportation, tour of J.C Newman Cigar Factory, bus driver tip and a bottle of water. Host gratuity is not included.
