Immerse yourself in nature, above the water’s surface!

Join us for a tour of Crystal River with large, comfortable, fully shaded, manatee viewing boats featuring back-to-back seating to improve your view for the ride! Have your cameras ready to capture the outstanding scenery and diverse wildlife along the way, we should spot an impressive variety of wildlife that calls the refuge “home”. On the tour, you will learn the history of manatees in Crystal River, and the history of the wildlife refuge. This is truly a nature lover’s Eco Tour offering up the chance to see many species of birds, turtles, and even a dolphin every now and then!

We will split into two groups; group one will do the boat tour while the other enjoys lunch & shopping in downtown Crystal River. You will also have the opportunity to stop in the gift shop for manatee souvenirs and take pictures with the many town murals. (lunch purchase on your own- suggestions will be given).

Itinerary:

10:15 am- Depart Lake Sumter Landing (1045 Old Mill Run)

10:35 am- Depart Brownwood - located behind the Brownwood Hotel and The Center for Advanced Healthcare (click here for map)

12:15 pm- Boat Tour #1

2:00 pm- Boat Tour #2

4:30 pm- Approximate arrival time back in The Villages

Price includes transportation, boat tour, bus driver tip and a bottle of water. Host gratuity is not included.
