Join us as we head to Clearwater Beach to explore the expansive 24,000-square foot structure that encompasses the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit! 18 professional sand sculptors who journey from all corners of the globe work their magic to transform the world-famous sugar sand into breathtaking sculptures.

The festival offers free sand sculpting classes, live music, artisans, food vendors and more!

“United in Sand: Celebrating Sports & Spirit! The 2026 Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival, presented by Visit St. Pete Clearwater, proudly invites you to experience a dynamic showcase of teamwork, triumph, and tradition. This year’s Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit will highlight the unifying power of sports and the spirit that inspires generations. In addition to the main exhibit, guests will step into a special immersive tribute honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Semiquincentennial, brought to life through stunning sand art and cutting-edge projection mapping. Join us as we celebrate the champions, the dreamers, and the defining stories that shape our nation, all carved in sugar sand on Clearwater Beach.”

Itinerary:

9:00 am- Depart Lake Sumter Landing (1045 Old Mill Run)

9:20 am- Depart Brownwood - behind the Brownwood Hotel and The Center for Advanced Healthcare(click here for map)

11:00 am- Arrive in Clearwater

Clearwater Beach has many culinary gems within walking distance of the festival for lunch. Bottled water, soda, beer and wine are available for purchase onsite. You may bring a blanket or towel with you to use on the beach. No coolers are permitted within the festival. The exhibit is under a tent, but the rest of the festival is outdoors.

4:30 pm- Depart

6:30 pm- Approximate arrival time back in The Villages (we may experience traffic delays)

Price includes transportation, admission to festival, bus driver tip and a bottle of water. Host gratuity is not included.

Day Trip purchase is non-refundable but is transferable to another person.
