Harry P. Leu Gardens is a 50-acre botanical oasis in the heart of Orlando, Florida. It features a stunning collection of tropical and subtropical plants, beautiful flowers, lush greenery, and various tree species. The Gardens also showcase the historic Leu House, one of Central Florida's most historic estates.
The Gardens are close to Park Avenue, Central Florida´s popular, upscale shopping district. We will enjoy time there after the gardens, dining at one of their many delicious restaurants and shopping. (suggestions will be given)
Also within walking distance is The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art houses the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Admission is only $6 and $5 for seniors age 60 and older.
About the Garden: *Guests are welcome to bring in your own food and reusable water bottles to fully enjoy your visit. Picnicking in the gardens is welcome. There are designated picnic areas around the gardens. Carry out or dispose of all waste in designated containers. Water fountains are available throughout the gardens, and vending machines are available in the Welcome Center.
Foxtail Marketplace & Café offers a small menu of fresh food, beverages, ice cream, and shopping for gifts and souvenirs.
Itinerary:
8:30 am - Depart Lake Sumter Landing (1045 Old Mill Run)
8:50 am- Depart Brownwood - behind the Brownwood Hotel and The Center for Advanced Healthcare (click here for map)
10:15 am- Approximate arrival at Leu Gardens, Self- guided tour
12:00 pm- Depart Leu Gardens
Free time to have lunch & shop (purchase on your own)
2:15 pm- Meet at Bus for Departure
3:45 pm- Approximate arrival in The Villages
Price includes transportation, admission to Leu Gardens, bus driver tip and a bottle of water. Lunch purchase is on your own. Host gratuity is not included.
Day Trip purchase is non-refundable but is transferrable to another person.
