ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Arrival at Callaway Gardens

Depart from The Villages (844 Duck Lake Road) and travel to Pine Mountain, Georgia, with planned stops along the way for rest and refreshments. Enjoy a farm experience and lunch at White Oak Pastures Farm & General Store. Upon arrival, check in at The Lodge & Spa at Callaway Gardens, a Four Diamond award-winning resort featuring modern guestrooms with balconies overlooking the lake, woods, or gardens. In the evening, enjoy a group welcome dinner at the Piedmont Dining Room, offering delicious Southern-inspired cuisine in an elegant setting. Relax and soak in the peaceful spring ambiance afterward.

Day 2 – Callaway Gardens: Azalea Bloom

After breakfast at the lodge, we will spend the day enjoying the beauty and attractions of Callaway Gardens in full spring bloom. Experience the Birds of Prey show featuring hawks, owls, and falcons in flight, then explore the colorful Butterfly House, where typically 1,000 or more tropical butterflies fill one of North America’s largest tropical butterfly conservatories.

The highlight of our day will be the spectacular Callaway Brothers Azalea Bowl, a 40-acre garden bursting with color each spring. The garden features more than 4,000 azaleas representing over 700 varieties, with the azaleas having been blooming at Callaway for more than 65 years. Our dates fall squarely within Callaway's stated peak azalea blooming period of mid-March through early April.

Day 3 – Macon, Georgia Cherry Blossoms & Return to The Villages

After breakfast, depart for Macon, Georgia, the “Cherry Blossom Capital of the World,” to experience more than 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees in bloom. Macon becomes a pink, cotton-spun paradise as the trees bloom in their full spring glory. Following our visit, we begin the journey back to The Villages with comfort stops along the way.
