Day 1: Journey to Savannah
8:00 am- Depart The Villages - 844 Duck Lake Road, Lady Lake, FL 32159. You may leave your car here.
Travel aboard a comfortable deluxe motorcoach. Breaks will be made periodically on our way to Savannah.
Arrive at the Holiday Inn Express Savannah – Historic District in the afternoon.
In the late afternoon enjoy a stroll and free-time on the Historic River Street followed by a group dinner at a local Savannah favorite.
Day 2 – Savannah Historic District & Old Town Trolley Tour
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a leisurely day exploring Savannah on your own.
Your Old Town Trolley Tour is included, allowing you to experience Savannah's historic squares, beautiful architecture, River Street, Forsyth Park, City Market and other iconic areas of the city. Spend the remainder of the day enjoying Savannah at your own pace.
Day 3 – Tybee Island, Dolphin Adventure, and Journey to Charleston
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Tybee Island. Begin the morning at the Tybee Island Light Station & Museum, one of Georgia's most recognizable coastal landmarks. Continue to Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure for an exciting boat excursion in search of dolphins and an opportunity to experience the coastal waters around Tybee Island. Following the dolphin adventure, enjoy lunch at The Original Crab Shack (or similar), a popular Tybee Island destination known for its seafood and Lowcountry atmosphere.
After lunch, depart for Charleston and arrive at the Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre in the late afternoon. This evening, enjoy dinner at delicious Charleston favorite in Mount Pleasant before returning to the hotel.
Day 4 – Charleston Historic District & Patriots Point
After breakfast, depart for Charleston and begin the day with a panoramic sightseeing tour featuring some of Charleston's most recognizable landmarks, including Rainbow Row, The Battery, and King Street. Continue with a Charleston Historic District Carriage Ride, offering a relaxing and narrated introduction to the city's historic streets, architecture, and neighborhoods. After the carriage ride, enjoy free time to explore Charleston City Market and King Street. Browse local shops, galleries, restaurants, and historic sites, with lunch on your own.
This afternoon, visit Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, home of the legendary USS Yorktown. Explore the historic aircraft carrier and the museum's extensive collection highlighting America's naval history.
Return to the Mount Pleasant area in the late afternoon. Dinner is on your own near the hotel.
Day 5 – Return to The Villages
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Boone Hall Plantation.
Your morning visit includes the Estate & Gardens Tour and Gullah Presentation, providing an opportunity to experience one of the Lowcountry's most historic plantations while learning about the region's Gullah culture and heritage.
Depart Boone Hall around midday after having a quick lunch at the Butterfly Café on your own.
Continue the trip with planned restroom and meal breaks along the way.
Arrive back in The Villages at approximately 8:00 p.m., concluding a wonderful five-day journey through the historic and scenic Lowcountry of Georgia and South Carolina.

Workman Transportation uses their own deluxe motor coaches. They are driven by drivers certified and licensed for motor coach transportation. Our motor coaches are air conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, video monitors, on-board restroom, and reclining seats.
Our hosts are experienced and will help make your trip enjoyable. They will give you lots of information along the way to make the traveling time fun and interesting. We will strive to keep you comfortable by having rest stops every two to two and 1/2 hours in the schedule.
